About Me & Merch

My name is Cody L. Ripperger. I am the owner of Strength & Power Fitness. I have been training clients since February 2021. Started with my first powerlifting client the same year. I have 3 certifications through ISSA: Personal Training, Strength & Conditioning, and Powerlifting. 

I have been competing in Strongman since 2021. Started working in gyms in 2019. Helped build and operate a private gym in 2020 in Flint, Michigan. Since then, I have moved on to train at a bigger facility with more equipment and heavier weights. 

My Philosophy on Personal Training is to build confidence in what our bodies can do, this will in turn help us gain more confidence in our everyday lives. I've trained nurses, teachers, EMS drivers, retail workers, contractors, farmers, housewives, high school athletes, software engineers, and many more. Not all are competitors. Many just want to workout in a way that is more fun to them. 

What I offer is considered a Gender-Neutral Workout Plan. This may seem obvious at first, but there are a lot of trainers who will take liberty in your goals. For women, it is often more cardio and glute focus plans. When they may want to lift heavy. For men, it may be more bench press and hypertrophy focus, when they simply want to lose weight. I do not fit people in a box. I listen to their goals and help them to achieve those goals. Sometimes they change, but you are not doing exercises that only focus on the areas you don't need to focus so heavily on. If you want to learn how to deadlift, we will do that. No matter what age or gender. If you want to break a state record in bench press, we will help you to reach that goal. No matter what age or gender. 

This is a team effort between trainer and client. Working together, we can reach these goals and find new ones we never thought were within reach for ourselves.
